Friday Faves – The Fitnessista

[ad_1]

Hi hi, and hello from San Diego! We’re off on a little adventure – I’ll be sharing pics and and videos over on IG – and I’m really looking to vacation and family fun. I hope you have a wonderful weekend ahead!

It’s time for the weekly Friday Faves party! This is where I share some of my favorite finds from the week and around the web. I always love hearing about your faves too, so please shout out something you’re loving in the comments below.

Friday Faves

Liv’s bday celebration!

We spent the whole weekend celebrating our new 11-year old. I still can’t even believe it.

Liv is officially in the in-between age. She’s definitely not a teenager, but has hit the point where she’s too old for jumping castle or trampoline park birthdays. I asked her what she wanted to do to celebrate with her friends, and she suggested a limo + dinner. Perfection. One of her friends had a limo party a couple of summers ago and it was a huge hit, so I figured it would be a lot of fun.

The party started at our house (the kids snacked, played music, and ran around), and then a party bus picked us up for dinner at North. It was a 20-passenger party bus with neon lights and an awesome Bluetooth system, and there were 13 of us in the bus.

Chaperones:

The kids sang and danced (I brought LED flower crowns and glowing bracelets, plus a basket filled with candy and snacks) and we had an amazing dinner at North.

At North, we ordered a bunch different things for the long table of hungry kiddos: bread, cheese boards, calamari, zucchini chips, pizzas, salads, and pasta. Liv’s bday theme was mushroom (the kids loves everything mushroom), so we had a mushroom cake for dessert. 😉

The party bus drove us back home for pickup (and two girls ended up spending the night). I made Liv’s fave cinnamon rolls for breakfast, bacon, fruit, and scrambled eggs. After the kids were picked up, the girls and I got ready to see Annie at Centennial Hall with my mom and nana. Annie is usually pretty meh for me, but it was SO good. Daddy Warbucks was amazing (usually he perturbs me lol), and the kids were so incredibly talented. Liv and P loved it, too!

After the show, the family all came over for dinner and more cake. 😉

Read, watch, listen:

This reel made me LOL. I’m always so glad when other people speak to their animals the same way I do.

What place do you call home?

Check out this week’s podcast episode with Adina Eden here.

Fashion + beauty:

Ordered more of these lil beauties.

We have a wedding in Feb and if you have any cute black dress recs (guests are requested to wear black), please send them my way! It’s been harder than I thought it would be to find something for it. I think I’m looking for a one-shoulder option, like this situation or something with lace.

Fitness, health, and good eats:

7-layer beet salad. What. This is needs to happen asap.

We’re starting another round of the EquiLife 7-day detox on Jan 22. If you’d like to join in, check out all of the details here! Use the code FITNESSISTA20 for 20% off if it’s your first time joining in.

Try these crunchy almond butter chocolate bars!

30-minute cardio barre workout.

Lower body circuit and Tabata workout.

SO pumped to try out this weighted blanket. I sleep with a heavy crocheted blanket over our duvet, but have been wanting something a little heavier. I hadn’t found one that looked good as far as construction/ingredients go. Many of them were filled with plastic beads or made out of synthetic materials. This looks like the perfect fit! It’s natural bamboo, and contains Amethyst, Jade, Tourmeline, Shungite, and Rose Quartz for negative ions. They have a promo code going on right now, too. Use this link and the code THERACOMFORT20 for 20% off. I can’t wait for it to arrive and will definitely report back!

Happy Friday, friends! What’s something you’re looking forward to this weekend?

xo
